Hello, my name is Philip de Rivaz, a Seventh-day Adventist Christian from the UK and am authoring the "Discovery Course" (working title). I was baptised in a Baptist church in 2006 and shortly thereafter left to attend a Seventh-day Adventist Church. The current "tagline" for the website is "Receive Eternal Life, TODAY" and whilst the sentiment is theological, the text reflects one of the sayings of my dear grandfather Derek de Rivaz, perhaps told to him in turn by his godfather, which is "take action today" and this course honours Derek and my grandmother Ro (Derek's wife), as well as all others who I have met or not so far, that have sacrificially helped me on my journey thus far - I hope that you will indeed "take action today", if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour - here is a short self-study course to find out how to do so, called: "Are You Good?".
I have completed an MA in Theology degree from Newbold College in the UK, as a mature student (my first degree was a Major in English Literature and Minor in Creative Writing) – the dissertation was based on making this course and am planning to start a full-time theology PhD from possibly Spetember 2023.
